Clear Blockages by Getting in Order

When I taught middle school, my classes always had a theme of the week. Discussing themes like: trust, respect, discipline, and pride, sparked honest dialog that in the end drew the students closer to one another. They admitted mistakes and took responsibility for doing better.

After I stopped teaching, I kept my theme of the week for a while, until I forgot about it and it faded into oblivion. Now that I attend Hillside International Truth Center, my place of worship, I have a theme of the month. Each month we recognize one of the spiritual faculties or God-given powers that each of us has within.

There are 12 spiritual faculties that we strive to embody. The faculties also correspond with a disciple and a part of the body. The list, from Charles and Cora Fillmore’s book, The Twelve Powers, is below.

As you can see, the faculty for September is ORDER.

I love having order in my life, but find it challenging to stay in order.

Being out of order is no fun. Particularly when you have trouble finding what you need when you need it. When order is lacking in one area of your life, it can easily spread to other areas.

For example, if you get too busy to cook at home, you’ll find yourself eating out more than intended, which may contribute to your weight getting out of hand. Excessively eating out may also contribute to your bank account getting out of order. Trust me, I’m speaking from experience.

Being out of order at home often makes you late for work and events, because you’re spending too much time looking for what you need or preparing at the last minute. If you allow the lack of order in your finances, environment, or in where you put yourself on your to-do-list get out of control, your life will begin to reek of “something just ain’t right here.” It’s no wonder why we find it difficult to move forward.

Creating order in one area of your life frees energy and removes blockages. Get your closet in order perhaps you will concentrate better. Order your finances to quit your job and live your dreams, chances are you’ll get a promotion. Watch the movie Revolutionary Road and you’ll see what I mean.

I invite you to join me in celebrating the month of September by letting me know what areas of your life you plan to get back in order. Here is my list:

ü  Reorganize my computer files at work

ü  Reorganize files on my home computer

ü  Stop using favorites and use delicious instead

ü  Create tags and categories for my blog posts

ü  Get photos off of digital camera to mail to family members

I showed you my list, now show me yoursJ.

Pray, Persist, and Prosper! Thanks Sister Madeline for the pray part, I like that much better!
