Stop Doing This to Stay Sane

The month of November for me marks the beginning of the holiday season. And I can’t believe it’s already here. People are planning parties, buying presents, making gifts, taking family photos and are engaged in a host of other festive activities. As we usher in the holiday season and gear-up for the New Year, it is fitting that November, according to New Thought tradition, is the month of RENUNCIATION.

The word RENUNCIATION is derived from the word renounce, which means to relinquish or abandon. We have a tendency to add more, more, and more. How often do we assess what we can stop doing? I’ve been thinking about what I’d like to stop and I invite you to join me on this journey.
As a reminder, you can stop whatever you choose. It can be a behavior, an attitude, a way of thinking, or anything else that you think will improve your well-being. Although some items on your list may take time to remove, it’s worth the time and effort to keep trying.
Here is my “to-stop” list. I plan to stop:
- Leaving clothes where they don’t belong.
- Running out of wipes so I can more effectively and efficiently clean-up as I go.
- Assuming that certain people have negative intent
I’d love for you to share one thing you plan to stop doing, even if you plan to resume it at a later date.
Pray, Persist, and Prosper!
